All in all, a pretty good remaster of a rather inorganic original (typical of the era). The kick drum and bass guitar are much more distinct and punchy, and less mush all around. The hihat on the original is pretty much inaudible, but quite clear here, albeit slightly hissy. I think Grundman did the best they could from the source material. The original CD was great for what it was, gnawing and urgent, and a postcard from that time; this LP has bass extension and a hip-hop like clarity that makes it satisfying to crank up on a hifi I could never afford to have in those days.

This is an exemplary alternative album. Emotional Chester's voice, dynamic hip-hop, rough guitars. The best nu-metal things of 90's compose powerful music with flame, depression, deeper meaning. Everybody knows 'In the end', 'One step closer' and 'Papercut' but the whole album is precious. Psychological 'By myself' and dark 'With you' are such underrated songs. They've hidden among the singles.
